Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your trip

ToursWhat types of tours do you offer?+
Desert tours (Sahara, Merzouga, Zagora), Imperial cities (Marrakech, Fes, Meknes, Rabat), Atlas treks, coastal excursions, and full multi-city circuits. All are customizable.
ToursIs transport from Marrakech included?+
Yes, most of our tours include transport in a 4x4 or air-conditioned minibus to and from Marrakech.
ToursWhen is the best time to visit Morocco?+
Spring (March–May) and Autumn (September–November) offer the best climate. Winter is ideal for the desert, and summer is great for the Atlantic coast.
AccommodationsWhat is the difference between a Riad and a hotel?+
A Riad is a traditional Moroccan house built around a central courtyard — it's the most authentic accommodation. A hotel offers more standardized services. We highly recommend Riads for an immersive experience.
AccommodationsWhat are the desert camps like?+
We offer Standard camps (Berber tents, shared bathrooms) or Luxury camps (private tents, real beds, en-suite bathrooms, gourmet dinner under the stars with Gnawa music).
GastronomyAre meals included?+
Breakfast is included every morning. Some dinners are included in desert camps and rural guesthouses. Lunches are generally free for you to choose local spots.
GastronomyIs Morocco vegetarian-friendly?+
Yes! Vegetable tagines, seven-vegetable couscous, harira, and zaalouk are staples. Just let us know your dietary requirements when booking.
Solo TravelIs Morocco safe for solo female travelers?+
Yes, it is generally safe. However, we recommend dressing modestly and staying in Riads where staff are very protective. Joining a small group tour is also a great way to feel more comfortable.
TransportDo the drivers speak English?+
Absolutely. All our drivers and guides are professional, experienced, and multilingual (English, French, Spanish, and Arabic).
CultureCan I visit during Ramadan?+
Yes, it's a unique spiritual experience. While life slows down during the day, the nights become very festive. We simply ask guests to be respectful by not eating or drinking in public streets during daylight.
PackingWhat should I pack for my trip?+
Modest clothing is best (covering shoulders and knees). Bring comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, a hat, and layers, as desert nights can be very cold even in summer.
HealthCan I drink tap water in Morocco?+
We strongly recommend drinking bottled water, which is cheap and available everywhere. Avoid ice cubes in small local stalls.
PracticalDo I need a visa for Morocco?+
Citizens from the EU, USA, Canada, UK, and Australia do not need a visa for stays up to 90 days. A passport valid for 6 months after entry is required.
PracticalWhat is the local currency?+
The Moroccan Dirham (MAD). Cards are accepted in hotels and restaurants, but you should carry cash for souks and tips. ATMs are widely available.
BookingHow does the booking process work?+
1) Send your request. 2) Our team contacts you within 2 hours. 3) Receive a detailed quote. 4) Pay a 20% deposit to confirm, with the balance due upon arrival.
BookingWhat payment methods do you accept?+
Bank transfer, PayPal, Visa/Mastercard, and Western Union. The final balance can be paid in cash (Dirhams, Euros, USD, or GBP) upon arrival.
