Morocco Visa Requirements 2025–2026

Good news for most travellers: Morocco offers visa-free entry to citizens of over 60 countries for stays of up to 90 days. Here is everything you need to know before you travel.

Countries That Do NOT Need a Visa

Citizens of the following countries can enter Morocco visa-free for up to 90 days: All EU member states, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, UAE, Brazil, Argentina and most other Western countries. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Morocco.

Countries That DO Need a Visa

Citizens of most African, South Asian and some Middle Eastern countries require a visa in advance. Apply at your nearest Moroccan embassy or consulate at least 4–6 weeks before travel. A confirmed hotel booking or tour booking (such as one of our Morocco tours) is typically required as part of the application.

What You Need at Entry

Valid passport (6+ months validity), return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation or a tour booking confirmation, and sufficient funds for your stay. Our tour confirmation letter serves as proof of accommodation and itinerary for visa applications if required.

Duration of Stay

The standard tourist admission is 90 days from date of entry. This cannot be extended inside Morocco — you must exit and re-enter. Most visitors on our tours stay between 3 and 14 days, well within the limit.

Practical Entry Tips

Complete your arrival card on the plane — you will be given one. Queue times at Marrakech Menara Airport can be long on Friday and Saturday evenings. Casablanca Mohammed V Airport is generally faster for immigration. Your driver will meet you in the arrivals hall after customs clearance.
