Passport Validity Requirements

Entry by Air

International flights arrive at Casablanca Mohammed V (CMN), Marrakech Menara (RAK), Agadir Al Massira (AGA), Fes Saiss (FEZ), and several other airports. Border control is generally efficient. You’ll receive an entry stamp valid for 90 days from date of entry.

Entry by Sea (Ferry)

Popular ferry routes connect Spain to Morocco via Tarifa–Tangier (35 min), Algeciras–Tangier (1h30), and Almeria–Nador. You’ll go through both Spanish exit control and Moroccan entry control at the port. Allow 2–3 hours for the full crossing and border formalities.

Extending Your Stay

The 90-day visa-free allowance cannot currently be extended within Morocco. If you wish to stay longer, you must leave the country and re-enter — or apply for a residency permit from within Morocco (a more complex process requiring local registration).
