The Hassan II Mosque is the centrepiece — one of the largest mosques in the world, built on a promontory over the Atlantic Ocean and one of the few in Morocco open to non-Muslim visitors. The Art Deco architecture of the Ville Nouvelle is extraordinary and almost entirely undiscovered by tourists. The Corniche, the Central Market and the neighbourhood of Habous (the New Medina) each reveal a different face of the city.
